This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used by the website
www.giovanniscornavacca.com, for what purposes, how long they remain on your device, and how
you can change your choices at any time.

It is provided pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Article 122 of Italian
Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools
issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) on 10 June
2021.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit send to your browser, where they are stored and
then sent back to those same websites on your next visit. Alongside cookies, other technologies serve a similar
function (for example the browser’s local storage): where used, they are covered by this policy in the
same way as cookies.

3. No cookies before your choice

Until you express a choice through the banner, this website does not install any cookie on your
device
, neither first-party nor third-party.

The website does not use profiling cookies, hosts no advertising, employs neither Google
Analytics nor any other advertising tracking tool, and does not build individual profiles of its visitors.

4. Technical cookies (strictly necessary)

These are essential to the operation of the website and to storing your choices. Under Article 122 of the
Italian Privacy Code they do not require your consent.

NameSourcePurposeDuration
cookieadmin_consentFirst partyStores the choice you made through the banner together with a random consent identifier, so that
the banner is not shown again on every page and a record of your choice is kept.

5. Google Maps

The pages showing the practice location embed a map provided by Google Maps.

The map remains disabled until you give your consent: a placeholder is shown in its place,
which you can click to activate it. Until then, no connection to Google is made.

When you activate it, your browser connects to Google’s servers, transmitting your IP address and technical
connection information; Google may also install its own cookies, including NID, used to store user
preferences and for Google’s own statistical and advertising purposes. This processing is governed by Google’s
privacy policy, available at
policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Services that connect without installing cookies

ServicePurposeData transmitted
Website statistics hosted on the site operator’s own infrastructureAggregate visit counting, without cookies and without identifying usersIP address, page visited, referrer, browser information
Google reCAPTCHA v3Protection of the contact form against automated submissions. The script is present on all pages of
the website that host the form.
IP address, technical connection information, and data on your interaction with the page

Statistics are collected in aggregate form, remain on servers located within the European Union, and do not
allow you to be identified or an individual profile to be built.

As regards reCAPTCHA, simply loading the pages does not install any cookie on your device:
we have verified that no cookie is set either when visiting the site or when filling in the form. Google may
instead install its own cookie (_GRECAPTCHA, lasting 6 months) at the moment the form is
actually submitted
, in order to distinguish human submissions from automated ones. The service is
subject to Google’s Privacy Policy
and Terms of Service.

7. Transfer of data outside the European Union

Data collected through the website and the browsing statistics are stored on servers located within
the European Union
.

The exceptions are the Google services, which may process connection data in the United
States as well, on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 concerning the
EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC adheres, and of the Standard Contractual Clauses.
These are:

  • the Google Maps feature described in section 5, only if you choose to activate it;
  • reCAPTCHA, which connects to Google’s servers when the pages hosting the contact form

    are loaded.

8. How consent works

On your first visit a banner appears, allowing you to accept all cookies, reject
all
non-necessary ones, or customise your choice by individual category.

Refusal is offered just as immediately as acceptance: simply continuing to browse, scrolling, or
closing the banner does not constitute consent. Until you express a choice, only the cookies described in
section 4 are installed.

9. How to change or withdraw your choices

You may change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by clicking
the cookie management icon that is always present on the website’s pages. Withdrawal does not affect the
lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Alternatively, you can manage or delete cookies directly from your browser settings:

10. Legal basis and retention

For the Google Maps feature the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). For the
technical cookies described in section 4 and for the anti-abuse protection of the login page, processing is
based on the necessity of providing the requested service and on the Controller’s legitimate interest in the
security of the website (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR); these cookies are exempt from consent under Article 122
of the Italian Privacy Code.

Data is retained for the periods indicated in the tables above. Proof of consent is retained for 1 year,
after which the banner will be shown to you again.

11. Your rights

You have the right to request from the Controller access to the personal data concerning you, their
rectification or erasure, the restriction of processing, as well as to object to processing and to exercise the
right to data portability (Articles 15-22 GDPR), and to withdraw your consent at any time. Requests should be
sent to info@giovanniscornavacca.com.

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes applicable law, you have the right to lodge a
complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati
personali
(Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome —
www.garanteprivacy.it),
or with the supervisory authority of the Member State in which you habitually reside.

For the processing of personal data in general — contact requests and communications with the practice —
please refer to the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in legislation or in the services used by the website. Each
version shows the date of its most recent update at the top of the page.
